Honig Vineyard & Winery
When Michael Honig called Paul Kelley Architecture, his winery was running out of room. It was overflowing its tasting room and needed a state-of-the-art lab space. Working within a constrained site that had challenging lines and tight configurations between existing buildings, Kelley fashioned a new two-story structure that pointed to each direction of interest at the facility. The building’s unconventional V shape allows for maximum floor space and natural light from the exterior faces. The design places the winemaker, her staff, lab and production tasting on the ground floor, with executive offices and a secondary tasting room on the upper floor overlooking breathtaking views of the Napa Valley. The creative architectural solutions answered the call and exceeded expectations.
